Great news yesterday echoing back to few years ago when I created and illustrated a cute little chameleon critter for Smith-Manning Design in New Jersey.

Drazil is an innovative children's fruit tea product and Draz, as he's become known, has just scooped a prize .

The pack design just won a gong at the American Package Design Awards and as well as fantastic graphics, I'm sure the Hot Frog chameleon helped sway the judges.

A Happy New Year to you all, bit late I know. The year did kick off with a busy few weeks of work, and again, none of which I can post as yet.

But I also produced quite a few beer clips and labels for one brewery or another, and here are two of the ones that are not embargoed at the moment.

One of my new years' resolutions was to bake more bread, that's already ticked and done and I'm onto my 7th loaf today.

Other, none specific promises to myself, are to finally get my last 2 picture books completely finished and off to some publishers, or agents maybe.

These 2 posters were part of a set illustrated for Wentworth Brewery.

I've stuck the Stout clip on there to show how these 'blank' bar posters can be used in conjunction with new brews which will be released throughout the year.

Hopefully these delightful brews will whet your thirst and tempt you to track one down. And I promise you, if you do, you'll not be disappointed by the wonderful hand crafted full bodied taste.

Well not quite retro but it was a commission that required artwork harking back to a golden era.

Since I no longer work in Illustrator, I needed to create all the paths first, in Photoshop, and begin to build the image using a supplied limited colour palette.

I don't think this packaging artwork has run through the full production cycle yet, so I'll not reveal the final product.

Delicious and edifying, and possibly one of your 5 a day?

Again this was a job completed at the very end of last year. It's not that I've been sat here doing nuthin all 2009 - I'm actually onto my 5th job already, and have recently invoiced Canada, Japan and Swindon!. It's just that some of the 'new' stuff is still under wraps and I still wanted to display my best work from the end of last year.
This Fruit Splash was part of a set for an agency in Southport, SMR Creative.
