•FANTASTIC CREATURES

These strange and wonderful critters started off as fantasy drawings in my sketchbooks. I must have sketched out a dozen or so and then felt the need to bring a couple of them to life, so to speak.
I love the work of Kei Acedera and the IMAGINISM STUDIOS and I guess I had these very much in mind as I visualised them and worked them up in Photoshop.
They were produced for a project that unfortunately is still under the darkest of wraps and so more explanations cannot yet be provided.

•FUN STICKERS

Just a quickie this post. I illustrated these four fun stickers for a children's spinning game a little while ago.

It's always more fun and more rewarding to deal with all the elements involved in a game.

Not sure if that's my control freak nature speaking up, but it helps get to grips with the whole concept and for me, always results in a more satisfactory outcome.

• PIMP MY FLOAT!

• PIMP MY FLOAT!

Whatever floats your boat! I was asked to supe up an ordinary milk float, and turn it into the kind of milk monster that every milky dreams about. Well, that's what my milkman said, as I explained why I needed reference photographs of his vehicle.
This is another in the series that I'd previously produced the go-faster Snail and hot-rod Tortoise for.

FOREVER LADYBIRDS

FRIENDS REVISITED
If you have ever logged onto my main website >hotfroggraphics.com< you might well have seen these little guys in the character section of my portfolio.
They were originally created for Asda's range of children's seed packs, commissioned by Elmwood.
I always felt that they had more potential as I really liked the results, and I feel that these are one of my strongest sets of illustrations to date, and judging by the enquiries and new commissions I receive, others share these views too.
I have started work developing them into a range of greetings cards and mini posters but the images you see here have been re-sized and adapted for a range of children's bedroom furniture.
They are BIG files, actual size high res illustrations for wardrobe doors and cabinets etc. They are going to make a wonderful set and you can see others in the range at >http://www.foreverfurniture.co.uk/acatalog/Junior_Designs.html<
where you can also catch my other set, Dolphins.
