• DIRTY DISHWASHING INSTRUCTIONS •

For these instructional graphic illustrations produced for Procter & Gamble I set up a photo shoot in our very own kitchen.

All the photos I took needed a great deal of touching up in Photoshop. It was important to show each step of the dishwashing preparation clearly and with easily understandable procedures. 

The hardest task wasn't  making the insides of the unit ultra clean and sparkling, but actually making the plates look convincingly dirty without being too yucky.

• NEW YEAR'S DAY, NEW WORK •

As I mentioned in an earlier post I was fortunate to make a great start to the year with a string of interesting jobs booked in and waiting for illustration.

First off was a set of handwash labels for Vantage chemists. Here's one of them featured above requiring the depiction of clean, pure water droplets. I worked on this on Jan 1st which actually felt good rather than being a chore. Though a few christmas chocolates were required to help me concentrate!

Also, below, is a new CD cover for the kid's song album I produced a few years ago for Somerset Entertainment in Toronto.

This time the kids are packed off on a road trip to the amusement park and need jolly songs all on the way. The fairground was eventually dropped and I had to replace it with a ferris wheel. Pity as I kinda liked the swirly rides.

Every so often I refresh my catalogue of downloadable graphics for the Smart phone, Cell phone, Talky, Handy etc.

I now have somewhere in the region of 200 designs available and all registered and precessed through WDA - Wireless Development Agency in the US.

I quite like this little Rainbow Tortoise fella and hope he or she goes on to greater things. The images are reminiscent of the psychedelia I produced in the 1980's and 90's using the ubiquitous V Dub van.
