Following on from the launch last month of Felix and Flip's first story adventure comes this exciting resource pack for schools.

"The pack provides teachers and school staff with up to date knowledge, skills and confidence to plan a comprehensive and informative first aid programme for children that can be delivered flexibly in a variety of ways. These include a series of short sessions, workshops and activities and also includes a mixture of theoretical and practical elements. It is aimed at children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and supports a variety of learners including those whose attainment is significantly above the expected standard and those who have low levels of prior attainment."

For me it was another wonderful opportunity to design and illustrate some stimulating lesson plans and exciting, fun games and puzzles.

• FIRST AID FRIENDS with FELIX and FLIP •

At last! After 12 long months of hard work and endeavour,I can finally introduce FELIX to the world. 

At last! After 12 long months of hard work and endeavour,I can finally introduce FELIX to the world. He is the hero character in my brand new picture book -"The birthday that went with a bang", book one from the FIRST AID FRIENDS programme for schools.

The story features lots of fun characters and is backed up by a whole package of exciting interactive and educational material.

FIRST AID FRIENDS is "a carefully planned developmental opportunity of learning through which children acquire knowledge and life skills in First Aid."

But I was commissioned to present it through the medium of a picture book! How cool is that? It also features as it's main hero Felix the First Aid Frog - and how much cooler IS THAT? And how apt for me, lover of all things froggy.

So I designed, created and illustrated the characters of Felix and Flip.

I also helped write and develop the story of Felix who lives in the jungle with his best friend Flip. Together they have exciting adventures whilst also helping out their friends who happen to have accidents and injuries.

Well, it IS a jungle out there.
